Jeffrey Werner Bezanson is an American computer scientist known for being a co-creator of the Julia programming language. He is an alumnus of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the MIT Computer Science and AI Laboratory (CSAIL). He received a B.S. in computer science from Harvard in 2004, and PhD from MIT in 2015. He founded the consulting company Julia Computing with his fellow Julia creators: his doctoral advisor Alan Edelman, Stefan Karpinski, and Viral Shah.
